From Rollo’s first conquest to the rise of his son William Longsword and his grandson Richard the Fierce, these dukes shaped a new vision of power in medieval Europe. Their rule was defined by shifting alliances, brutal battles, and the struggle to hold a fragile kingdom together. Each duke fought not only to survive, but to transform Normandy into a realm that commanded both fear and respect. This is the saga of the first Norman dukes—their legacy written in blood, faith, and ambition.
